I'm Alejandro Vallecilla, a cloud engineer based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
After more than ten years in the field I still struggle to explain to friends and family what I actually do all day — they tend to leave the room either more confused than before, or still convinced I mostly fix printers. (I do still fix printers, occasionally.) So this site is my attempt at a more human way of explaining it.
I work mostly with AWS, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, Python, CI/CD, automation, Linux, containers and serverless. I write about that in English, over in Tech. I also write fiction in Spanish, which lives in Ficción.
